What is Development of Daily Living and Life Skills?

This is a Capacity Building support under the Improved Daily Living Skills category.

The focus is on teaching and building skills so participants can become more independent over time — not just doing the tasks for them (that sits under Core Supports).

It helps participants learn, practise, and strengthen the everyday skills needed to manage their own lives at home and in the community.

It helps participants:

  • Personal care skills

  • Domestic skills

  • Money Management

  • Time & Routine Management

It focuses on building the participant’s daily living skills, confidence, and capacity.
